What is Image Resizer?

Image Resizer changes the pixel dimensions of JPEG, PNG, and WebP images directly in your browser. You can preserve the original aspect ratio or choose custom width and height values.

How to use Image Resizer

  1. Select a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image.
  2. Enter the desired width or height.
  3. Keep Lock aspect ratio enabled if you want the other dimension to update proportionally.
  4. Choose JPEG, PNG, or WebP as the output format.
  5. Adjust output quality when using JPEG or WebP.
  6. Select Resize image and download the result.

Preserving aspect ratio

Keeping the aspect ratio locked prevents the image from being unintentionally stretched or squashed. When you change one dimension, the other dimension is calculated from the original image proportions.

JPEG, PNG, and WebP output

JPEG is broadly compatible and useful for photographs. PNG supports lossless image data and transparency. WebP can provide efficient compression with good visual quality in modern browsers.

Privacy and local processing

Image decoding, resizing, preview generation, and output creation happen locally in your browser. BOYGR Tools does not need to upload the selected image to a server.

Frequently asked questions

Does Image Resizer upload my image?

No. Image resizing happens locally in your browser.

What does Lock aspect ratio do?

It keeps the original width-to-height proportion so changing one dimension automatically updates the other.

Can I make an image larger?

Yes, but enlarging an image cannot create real detail that was not present in the original and may make the image look softer or less sharp.

Can I preserve transparency?

Use PNG or WebP output when transparency needs to be preserved. JPEG does not support transparency.
